Dalbergia oogeinsis Roxb.Ougeinia dalbergioides Benth.
Deciduous tree, bark grey or light brown, thin. Petiole 5-15 cm long, petiolule 2.5-5.0 mm long, leaflets 6-15 cm long, 3.5-9 cm broad, broadly elliptic or obliquely ovate, acute, glabrous above, minutely pubescent or glabrous below. Inflorescence fascicled racemes. Bracts c. 2 mm long. Pedicel c. 5 mm long. Calyx 2.5-4.0 mm long, pubescent, lobes shorter than the tube, lowest is the longest. Vexillum 9-13 mm long. Fruit 5-10 cm long, c. 7.5 mm wide, flat, jointed, joints reticulately veined.

Distribution: Kashmir (Stewart, Ann.Cat. Vasc. Pl.W.Pak. Kashmir 415. 1972); India (Punjab, Kumaon, Bengal, Central India, Bombay, Madras).
The bark is used medicinally. The leaves are lopped for fodder and the wood is used for furniture, building, agricultural implements etc.
