Arum griffithii Schott
Tubers with numerous fibrous roots. Leaf blade hastate, 6-12 x 3.5-8.5 cm, basal lobes acute or obtuse; petiole 8.5-31 cm long, slender. Spathe 7.5-16.5 cm long, green, limb lanceolate, acuminate. Spadix appendage 3.8-6 cm long, included. Male zone 4 mm long; stamens sessile, anthers less than 1 mm long, subglobose; abortive flowers represented by adpressed hairs, c. 2.5-5 mm long. Neuter zone (2-) 7-8 mm long. Female zone (0.7-0.8-) 1.5-1.7 cm long. Ovary globose, c. 2 mm broad. Berries red. Seeds globose, c. 4 mm broad, ruminate.

Distribution: Himalayas in Pakistan and N,W. India, Afghanistan.
Found in forests and open places up to 3000 m.
