Neogaillonia macrantha (Blatt. & Hallb.) Lincz.
Bushy shrub, 10-30 cm tall. Stem dichotomously or trichotomously branched, 2-angled or trigonal, pubescent, internodes 1-2 cm long, older branches whitish, glabrescent younger branches, olive green, densely and rigidly pubescent. Leaves opposite and ternate, 6-20 x 1-2 mm, linear, margin revolute, spinescent; pubescent, stipules shortly connate, annular, linear, subulate, green. Inflorescence of di-trichotomously branched cymes. Flowers pink, 20-25 mm long. Calyx-tube 4-5 mm long, woolly and densely pubescent; segments 5, linear-lanceolate, hairy, much smaller than the tube, enlarged in fruit. Corolla 18-20 mm long, hispid, tube 12 mm long; lobes 5,6-7 mm long, oblong, obtue. Stamens 5, inserted below the throat; filaments c. 4 mm long; anthers dorsifixed, exserted, linear, c. 2 mm long. Style exserted, up to 20 mm long, glabrous; stigma branched, papillose-glandulose. Fruit c. 7 mm long, covered by woolly pubescence.

Type: Near Quetta, fl. August 1918, Blotter & Hallberg (BLATT).
Distribution: Afghanistan and Pakistan.
This species can easily be distinguished from other species of Gaillonia by having densely pubescent stem and larger corolla; fairly common between 1500-2000 m.
