Plants mainly single, slender. Bulb c. 10 mm in diameter, roundishly-oviform, covered by thin, coriaceous, light brown, fiber-l ike tunics, braided by few sclerified roots. Peduncle up to 10 cm long, longitudinally-ridged, one third or less under ground. Basal leaf single, filiform, pointing upwards, 1.5-2 times exceeding the inflorescence, c.1 mm in diameter, grooved-pentahedral in T.S. Leaves on the peduncle verticillate, lower leaf exceeding the inflorescence, narrowly-lanceolate, at base up to 3 mm broad, gradually ends in a long tip, upper leaves diminishing in size. Inflorescence fasciculate, 1-3(5)-flowered, pedicels unequal, 0.5-3.5 cm long. Tepals linearly-lanceolate, get elongated during flowering, up to 16 mm long, 1-2 mm broad, yellow within, green outside, outer tepals longer and broader. Anthers yellow, dehiscence oblong 1.5 mm long. Ovary narrowly oblong. Capsule narrowly-lanceolate, shorter than tepals. Seeds thin, flat.
