Convolvulus brachyphyllus Boiss.Ipomoea sindica (Stocks) Stapf
Branched perennial shrubs and undershrubs, 30-60 cm tall. Branches rigid, densely pubescent, velutinous. Leaves 5-10 mm long, sessile, densely tan-tomentose, obovate to suborbicular, thick, somewhat succulent, single or in groups of 2-4, veins furrowed, margin undulate, apex obtuse to sub-acute , leaves sometimes plicate. Flowers in fulvous-sericeous, subsessile heads, 15-20 mm across. Bracts ovate-elliptic, densely rust-tomentose. Sepals 6-8 mm long, lanceolate, densely rusty-villous. Corolla c. 12 mm long, hirsute on the folds outside, tube glabrous. Ovary glabrous, seed 1, dark brown, glabrous.

A xerophyte, gro wing on dry sandy or lime soils in the Sind and Baluchistan areas.
