Rhizome creeping; scales small, broadly lanceolate, entire; c. s. oval with about 6 bundles. Stipes
distant, sparingly scaly at base with small narrowly lanceolate scales, c. s. with 2 round bundles; fronds
somewhat dimorphic, sterile frond simple lanceolate, with or without basal lobes; fertile fronds with an
elongated terminal pinna, similar to the 1-3 pairs of lateral pinnae; veins anastomosing. Sori linear,
borne along costal and costular areolae; indusia linear, narrow, thin, opening towards costa or costule.

Distributed in Okinawa, South China, Hainan and Vietnam. Taiwan, a rare species limit at 400-
1000 m altitude of north broad-leaved forests, growing nearly the ridge or somewhat exposed pathsides.
