Plants perennial. Stem short or much reduced. Leaves 2-3-pinnate, radical and cauline. Umbels sessile to pedunculate. Involucre and involucel of divided or undivided bracts and bractlets. Rays elongated, unequal. Calyx teeth promi¬nent, usually linear to lanceolate. Petals white to purple. Fruit dorsally compress¬ed; lateral ridges winged, dorsal and intermediate prominent; dorsal furrows 1-vittate, lateral 1-(2)-vittate; commissure 2-4-vittate. Inner seed face plane to slightly concave.
A genus of 3 or 4 Himalayan species.
