Plants biennial or perennial. Roots tuberous. Leaves tripinnate. Umbels compound. Calyx teeth obsolete. Petals white. Stylopodium conical; styles thick, divaricate. Fruit oblong; ridges prominent, corky, transversely plicate; furrows 1-vittate, numerous small vittate under the ridges; commissure 2-vittate. Inner seed face plane.
A little known genus of 2 species from Turcomania in USSR and Baluchis¬tan in W. Pakistan. Superficially the fruit resembles that of Szovitsia.
