Plants 15-35 cm tall, pubescent. Stems base with persistent leaf bases. Leaves bipinnate; pinnae oval to ovate, pinnatifid to pinnatipartite; upper leaves reduc¬ed. Involucre of linear pubescent bracts. Rays 4-7, pubescent. Involucel of 4-5 linear pubescent bractlets. Styles 2 mm long, deflexed. Fruit oblong, pubescent.
Type: Spiti, Western Tibet, T. Thomson (K).
Distribution: Himalayas in India and W. Pakistan.
