Scaligeria indica Wolff in Fedde, Repert. Nov. Sp. 27: 126. 1929. Hiroe, l.c.
20-50 cm tall, glabrous. Root globose, 5-10 mm in diameter. Leaves 5-10 cm long, 2-3-pinnate; pinnae pinnatipartite to pinnatisect; segments linear to lanceolate, 5-7 mm long, tips mucronate. Involucre of 5-8 linear to lanceolate broadly white margined bracts. Rays 10-18, 2-5 cm long, filiform, glabrous. Involucel of 5-8 linear white margined bractlets. Flowers numerous. Petals white. Fruit ovoid, 2 mm long. Inner seed face sulcate.
Type: Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, 2500 ft., Keshavanand 704 (DD).
Distribution: W. Pakistan.
