Delphinium saniculifolium var. aquilegifolium Boiss.
Plant 30-60 cm high, glabrous except patches on pedicels with glandular, basally inflated hairs. Petioles of basal leaves 8-10 cm long, blade reniform, palmately lobed, segments obovate, 1-2 cm wide, with shallow lobes or teeth at the apex. Cauline leaves few, more deeply dissected into narrower segments. Racemes lax, with 5-20 violet-blue flowers, bracts 3-5 mm long. Sepals glabrous sometimes pubescent, upper sepals 8 mm long, ovate, subacute, spur 11.12 mm long, 3 mm wide at base, lateral sepal 7 mm long, oblong-elliptic, rounded, lower sepal 9 mm long, broadly elliptic, obtuse. Upper petals 8 mm, shortly lobed at apex, spur 12 mm, lower petals 8 mm long, claw 4 mm, limb 4 mm, lobed, ciliate in the cleft, bearded on the surface. Stamens 4-5 mm, subglabrous. Follicles 3, 10 x 4 mm, divergent, pubescent. Styles 2 mm long.
