Alysseae

Lateral nectar glands often in pairs and small, sometimes one and ± horse-shoe shaped; middle ones absent. Hairs forked, branched or stellate, appressed or sub-appressed. Stamen filaments toothed, appendaged or entire and linear. Ovary usually short, sessile or on a short gynophore; stigma usually shortly bilobed. Fruit broadly septate, silicula (or sometimes siliqua), generally dehiscent, 2-1-locular. Radicle accumbent.

Represented by 6 genera and 19 species in our area.
