Delphinium persicum Boiss.
Plant 10-35 cm high, divaricately branched, strigulose in all parts, some hairs gland-tipped, especially in the upper portion of stem. Leaves small, the lower petiolate, with narrow ± fleshy segments. Bracts 2-8 mm, trifid or entire. pedicels 2-4 mm in flower, 5 mm in fruit, bracteoles upto 3 mm, subulate. Sepals 6-8 mm, pinkish or white, sometimes with a blue tinge and a greenish midrib, not clawed, upper one ovate-lanceolate, spur ascending, 20-25 mm long, ± 4 mm wide at base, lateral one oblong obovate, 3.5 mm wide, pubescent on midrib, lower ones broadly ovate-lanceolate 4 mm wide, pubescent all over. Petal 3-lobed, 15-20 mm wide, terminal lobe with 2 short lobules, lateral lobes rounded. Filaments glabrous. Follicle hairy, 10 x 2.5 mm, slightly compressed, scarcely rugose. Style 3 mm long.
